This time last year I was asked to build a new garden for one of my neighbours. I'm not a garden designer, or 'landscape gardener', I maintain gardens, but decided to give it a go. They wanted something, not too structured and even a bit messy. It had to have lots of colour and not be too high maintenance. It was hard work and I put my back out for 10 days mid project, but I was pleased with what I achieved. Unfortunately I didn't take any 'before' pictures, but you'll have to take my word for it, that it was a wilderness.
